Finding a no-holds-barred high CFM brushless ball bearing retrofit fan might be a good idea. I have made exterior heat sinking and fan cooling a top priority of the BORG. The recycled Sola case is chock full of slots on the sides. I am following these observations with a lot of interest. If I have to plaster the sides (heatsink) of the Megas with TO247 heatsinks so be it. I am in a very poor position to research upgrade fans for the Megas. Screw the noise I want air movement and longevity.
AT LAST!
ALL the parts for the BORG are arriving here on Thursday. Handles Switches Heatsink compound MOVS TVS GTDs the whole ball of wax.
I sure miss Ralph Scheidler owner of Sure Power. He had a PhD in thermodynamics and could have answered a lot of questions about these power supplies. Personally I get the willies when I see the airflow routing for the fan on these power supplies. I'm going to rough-up the heatsinks and mounting surfaces before adhering the additional heatsinks onto the side of the case. The heatsinks must be mounted with fins vertical.
RE always returning to 100% SOC cannot be an absolute ironclad rule with the AGM battery or there would be wholesale failures of the product. This is worthy of another chat with Concorde engineers.
