Some more input. This Deka battery just loves being hooked up to the 175 amp alternator for a 1.5 to 2 hour drive. The alternator and Voltage regulator seem to show 14.3V and it just rams that battery with enough amps to stuff it full.
While the Teleco battery may not be fond of the 20 amps from the MegaWatt at 14.4V, what ever that alternator is doing for the AGM in the Touareg, it's also doing for the AGM on the tongue of the trailer... it does not mess around, both batteries seem capable of slurping up in massive quantities what ever it is putting out. Trailer battery does not exhibit any bulging or heating up either, while trailering at 45 to 55 MPH. These batteries are just amp sucking beasts, under proper conditions. Very happy with this purchase, thanks Mr. Wizard for the recommendation.
