Start: 12.84 volts in battery after charged by Touareg, 2 days ago. Today showed 12.76V, on the RC Charger, once hooked up.
14.25V 10.48Amp 0.000Amphr 3:40PM
14.33V 4.03Amp 5.103Amphr 4:40PM
14.33V 2.23Amp 8.014Amphr 5:40PM
14.33V 1.97Amp 8.311Amphr 5:50PM
14.33V 1.96Amp 8.645Amphr 6:00PM
14.33V 1.95Amp 8.974Amphr 6:10PM
14.34V 1.87Amp 9.249Amphr 6:20PM
14.34V 1.70Amp 9.525Amphr 6:30PM
14.34V 1.47Amp 9.787Amphr 6:40PM
Tri Tip off the BBQ__________6:50PM
14.34V 1.36Amp 10.287Amphr 7:00PM
At this point I shut down the MegaWatt30 and carved Tri tip and ate it while it was still hot.
Around 9:30 PM, I reset the voltage on the MegaWatt back to 13.50V and resumed charging. At the new, lower float voltage suggested for this battery, charge rate was .73Amp. This is exactly within spec of 1/2 of 1% take rate for a 150 Amp hour AGM rated spec by Deka. Battery currently shows 12.92V at 10:20 PM, will give it a few days and then see what it checks out at, once surface charge is gone.
Twice now, when the MegaWatt is set at 14.40V, the battery stops decreasing amp flow at 1.36Amps on the WattMeter. Both times, when dropped back to a float voltage of 13.5V, the amp reading is .75 to .70 Amp/hr float take rate, that 1/2 of 1% of the battery Ampere hours that guru's on batteries say is the correct percentage.
