My Coleman iced up, I called AirExcel and they gave me the standard lines
"Was the thing running on high" (yes)
"Were the filters dirty" (Just cleaned a few days earlier)
"Are the outlets blocked" (No strong air flow after the ice melted).
There are several things that cause ICE UP
Air flow should NOT be one of them, but alas it is.. Fan on HIGH only and continous fan not automatic
Low Refrigerant charge. They tell me that will not do it but I know from EXPERIENCE and that's hard to argue with.
Many A/C's have a freeze up (Frost) Sensor, if it fails. My Coleman does not , my Advent with Carrier controls does. But the sensor has to be stuck into the evaporator.
High humidity (Is what iced mine I think)
