Dometic ac and Onan generator
Ac starts and runs fine on shore power but compressor tries to kick in on gen but can’t in two minutes it’ll try again. Ac start up amps are around 15 amps , running amps 10 or so amps on shore power...

One thing which is your friend is the Kill-a-watt meter. I measures many things. in this case we are just going to plug it into an outlet not plug anything into it
HZ and Volts are what we need to monitor as teh A/C tries to start.
Some multi-meters can do that as well but the Kill-a-Watt is so easy. and 20 bucks.

Be sure to turn off the A/C for at least 3 minutes when switching from Shore to Generator or the other way around.. I like to just shut down the motor home for 3 minutes electrically when "Transferring".
