Make sure everything else high wattage wise are turned OFF when testing the air conditioner. I know in my 30A setup I sometimes will trip the trailer main breaker if I have the air conditioner running and use the high wattage microwave etc...

Check your voltage. A low supply voltage will cause the A/C to draw more current to run.
I had the same issue a couple weekends ago. The 30amp main would trip if I used the microwave while the A/C was running. We had no choice but to turn off the A/C whie using the microwave. My new EMS is arriving today!
