The thermister should fit into the plastic loop that is between your thumb and first finger in the picture. The side away from your thumb has a deep slot that slides over the fin.
Hmmm, honestly I'm not sure but I wouldn't have tried to slide it into the deep slot that slides over the fin. I don't have the camper here at home, but next time I'm out there I'll take another closer look at the clip and make sure I'm trying to put the thermistor in the correct part of the clip.
