Dometic furnace no fire

Hello all. Have a brand new from the factory slide in truck camper and the furnace is failing me. Service centers look to be nonexistent for the Dometic brand in the midwest.

There is gas to the stove and water heater, they fire instantly.

I have cycled the furnace enough times the propane should be at the burner.

I can hear the spark ignite and the fan starts simultaneously and then the fan stops and nothing. It will do this 4-6 times then quit this process and the red light on the circuit board lights up continuously, which the instruction say is an internal circuit board failure.

So is the circuit board telling the truth and need to be replaced or is there some routine I am missing. I have tried the instructions in the manual and different processes of starting to no avail.

  • Go outside where the furnace exhaust vent is located. Have someone start the furnace. See if you smell LP when you hear the furnace do its ignition cycle. That will tell you if the LP valve in the furnace is opening. ANY RV dealer should be a warranty station for Dometic/Atwood. Doug
  • just for fun follow the gas line from furnace back, see if theres a shut valve in the line. and google a mobil tech for your area.hope its something easy.
