What I mean by demo as this unit was used as a operating display unit then they sold me the unit. I contacted Dometic when I purchased the unit to find out what thermostat to purchase for the unit. I was wondering is it possible that a part could have been borrowed for the unit and when it was replaced wires crossed causing the reverse operation. Also the thermostat does have a heat pump mode. The thermostat work the unit just fine , just opposite what setting the thermostat is in. The fan works on low or high when in the fan mode. I do not have the furnace wires hooked up to the control board.
The Heat Pump unit is JUST THE UNIT. No other parts or controls. The tstat and the tstat control board is what you have to option and purchase seperately. Except for HP models, ALL the current and previous tstats and tstat control boards will work. The problem you may have is this, depending on how OLD that floor unit was determines if the current tstat controls will work for your HP unit. That is why it is critical for you to post the MODEL number of the HP unit. The 410 versus Freon 22 is not set in stone, but it is a fairly good indicator of current versus older HP units. I believe your HP is older (at least over 3 years and CANNOT use current tstat Single Zone or Multiple Zone Tstat controls. You will have to get the older control board and older tstat system to function. Any part "borrowed" cannot be hooked up wrong to cause your problem. Doug
