if i was selling the RV in the near future i would go this route but if i were planning to keep it i would ABSOLUTELY go the residential route,cost be damned(thats just me).i HATE chronic problems and contrary to what you might hear the absorption fridge is a chronic problem when compared to a residential fridge.fix it once,fix it right and get on about the business of having fun.
good luck dealing with the trials and tribulations of an inferior product.i know others will espouse the virtues of theirs but there is no denying a residential fridge is superior technology or there would be absorption fridges in homes not the reliable compressor type we all use and enjoy.
