It sounds like you're dealing with a couple of issues with your older Dometic fridge. If it's freezing everything on a low setting and not cycling properly on propane, there might be a problem with the thermostat or the control board.
Given that the propane stays lit when AC is plugged in and remains on even after turning off the fridge, it might be worth checking the gas valve or the ignition system. Thanks for reply. Had a rv tech trouble shoot it today. He says its the gas valve/solenoid. Tried looking on the internet for one and haven't had much luck. Will keep looking.
