Hi 23mikey,
The automation trips the gfi at the shore power outlet. I was trying an old work around from my MSW days when the reverse polarity fuses blew.
My RV behaves as if it were on shore power all the time (if I so desire it). I went to pure sine wave because I wanted to run the roof air from the battery bank and inverter. I'd love to beef up my solar to replace the energy I would be using. I've found an MPPT controller that can handle 1320 watts.
I use manual connections with male and female plugs so I have great flexibility and can reconfigure the system in seconds.

might you have better luck if you let the automation in the Magnum manage the power?
I just want to power the rig off battery/solar without losing any functionality.
