I don't think the SG said you absolutely will not live long if you smoke. You just have a much better chance at a healthier life. I've met more old people with COPD or some other breathing disorder than I have smokers.
I used to smoke, but I got tired of the achy legs, the morning cough, inability to run, the lack of taste of my food, holes in my clothes, the stink, yellow teeth, rotten breath, and the money.
