This is a hilarious thread on so many levels.
Good Luck to all of you!
You mean ever since the OP's 2nd post?
OP here. The water is safe to drink. I just want to make sure it doesn't have anything in it that could cause issues, such as sand, debris and of course the bacteria and viruses.
Safe to drink?
Bananas are radioactive. If you could eat enough of them, you would get radioactive poisoning. The key is to know how much is harmful.
"Each banana contains 45 mg of potassium, which includes the radioactive isotope potassium-40. The radiation from bananas measures out as 3,520 picocuries per kilo – that's high enough to set off the more sensitive type of radiation alarms. If you ate one banana per day, you'd receive a dose of 2.6 mrem per year."
So, knowledge is power.
I know that I could simply use the water and likely have no ill effects, but I want to make sure my tanks stay safe.
Bottled water, which we all assume to be safe, if left in an open container, after weeks, it will have growth in it. That growth could simply be from what is in the air ending up in it.
Our tanks are vented to atmosphere. There is the possibility that stuff from the air could get in.
After reading the 10+ pages, I have learned why bottled water is a big seller - Fear. II have also learned that there are some simple options out there.
