You can use any hose you like but it must be rated as a drinking water hose. I could easily be mistaken but I did not understand that the shrinky hose was.
The Coil N Wrap is what I use also. Once you see how it works you can make something that works as well by using a couple of captive hook and eye straps - one on each end of the hose.
The web site for one of the extendable hoses (the green one advertised on TV) said it was not for potable water. Don't know if they are all the same or not.
