If a power source (BAT)
Is connected to a drain source (Pickup engine not running)
It would then try and power something that was switched off (truck ign)
So go plug it in go to the truck and find out what is alive that shouldn't be...
Radio / wipers / whatever can be switched on with the key in your pocket.
New vehicle ignition trunks draw a lot of power.
