A/c all night is even rarer than what I said before. Doesn't happen. Of course as soon as I say that, someone will chime in saying he does that.
Oh well, in 12 years of this, and doing a lot of boondocking, I, personally, have never seen anyone run a/c all night on a generator. And if someone does that, I better not be in earshot!!
The usual scenario is this: People leave their trailers in hot weather, return in late afternoon, fire up their generators to cool the place down, eat dinner, TV, then turn generators off and go to bed.
Actually I do. Summer in Arizona. That's why I bought the generator - specifically for the AC. Everything else can run on batteries and/or solar. The FS campgrounds here have designated loops where running a generator all night is permitted between June and September. If you're not running a generator at night in one of those areas you're the only one. The generators not allowed loops are mostly empty.
