my OEM GE MW had two long bolts (behind the vent grate) that went thru the front of the MW into the bracket on the wall behind the MW
the replacement MW had two long bolts that went thru the bottom of the cabinet the nuts went inside the cabinet
your cabinet may have a false floor
it has nothing to do with the light under the MW
