Actually, one uses jumper cables so seldom that I think mine are 14' copper coated aluminum ones. Don't really care...back in the day, on the farm, I've used two lengths of barbed wire to jumper a battery on a tractor.
(Yeah, go ahead and ask me how hot it got, but it worked).
