In order to fully equalize one needs to reach the gassing voltage. That is temperature dependent. @14.4 volts the batteries will need to be about 23 C before equalization can happen. @15.4 the temperature can be as low as about -2 C.
Over 15.4 volts, the computer boards start to get eaten.
