It would be a good joke if it turns out you get more amps using two 115w 12s in parallel but have an MPPT controller, than you would with a single 230w panel and the same controller.
So far I have seen the EcoW get more than PWM does with the 12v panel (9a vs 8a), but I have not yet seen the amps I should be getting from the 24v panel and MPPT. All I have seen there is that it does do MPPT by getting way more amps than the panel's Isc (which is only half what a 12v panel's Isc is) but I am not getting any more amps than PWM would with the same array wattage.
I want to see the famous supposed MPPT "advantage" while using the 24v panel and MPPT. We camp by a river, so if it doesn't shape up, maybe we can try the other meaning of "float" for a test! :(
