I can report that at 3,500 feet and 70 degrees my eu2000i will supply its 1,6000 rated VA output for longer than I was was willing to continue measuring it. At 95 degrees the 1,600 VA holds for about 3 minutes, then the maximum output decreases to the 1,400 VA ballpark. At 95 degrees and 500 feet elevation, it will hold 1,600 VA indefinitely. So there are multiple variables, and it wouldn't surprise me if humidity was a factor, too.
