Electric awning motor

Question

I have had this 04 Diplomat for about 5 years, and never had a problem with the electric awning. Suddenly, while the RV is in storage, the awning motor does not work and we are getting ready for a trip in the next few weeks.

Does anyone have an idea about what went wrong? Possibly burn out motor?

Ours:  Carefree Travel r Awing has a bussmann 15A fuse...check that.

Could be the connections to the motor are corroded. Try connecting the motor directly to a battery. Is it an A&amp;E/Dometic awning?

If it is a Girard, you need 120VAC to make it operate

Check connections. A friend had a wire near the motor clipped somehow, was a easy fix once he got got it open
