Electrical truck to trailer connection question

Seems to me that since you're just trying to power up trailer interior, there's no need to duplicate any pigtail functions except for ground and the 12v connection from the truck to the trailer. Replicate the connections at those points. Depending on distance wire should probably be bigger gauge wire than an ordinary pigtail has, though.
