Was having a 30 amp circuit installed to run my air on a 1993 Itasca rv. Electrician screwed up an tried to run on 240. Looks like he smoked the converter, what else can I expect?
Older ranges and dryers had a jumper between the neutral and ground in these fixed items. About 1988, this was changed and new construction required the installation of the fourth wire. (neutral). The older installations are grand-fathered in so you do not have to rewire the house or apartment. Three wire, two hots and ground are stilled used in many applications.
