EMS systems???

I've been reading a lot about the need for surge protection between the camp site and the coach. Many have mentioned getting a progressive EMS but as I research, it seems I would need a separate one for 30A or 50A services. They are a bit pricey to get one for each service. For those of you that have them, do you just have one or the other or did you find something that wasn't too expensive and get one for each type of service?
  • And they do work! Mine shut power down 9 times in 4 days this past week for OVER Power condition. We had readings as high as 134 volts. Reported to campground and later they lost a transformer. Repaired that and still had over voltage. Don't really know how dangerous over voltage is but if my EMS is shutting us down it must be for a reason.

we just have the 50 (permanent mount with the remote monitor) as it will handle 30-amp hookups as well.

The 50 will work for both. If necessary you can always get adapters from 30 to 50 and from 50 to 30.
I only have the progressive 50.

+1. Very simple. Buy the 50amp model and the approperate adapters and be done with it.
