What OEM idiots are NOT doing is flashing critical ECU contacts with gold which would STOP oxidation in its tracks. Beware of vehicles that have the ECU mounted near the battery. SupportingECU cable six-inches before it enters the ECU box with a screw hole zip tie would stop strain on the plug, then disconnecting then treating every single ECU plug and sensor plug in the system first with DeOxit D100, then the preservative liquid in the blue bottle would happen to any spanking brand new motor vehicle I would ever purchase. Again, you cannot use dielectric grease in these connectors. No grease with milliamp computer connections.
