Equaization DC to DC Converter
I am not enthusiastic about selection of a higher voltage power supply just to gain the ability to develop 16.0 volts for infrequent equalization.
With this 2 wires in (power tapped from a converter) and using 18 gauge wire to throttle current, a better system of control can be had. If you are fussy, use CROSS LINK insulated power wires for high temp operation. Auto Parts stores sell cross link wire as FUSIBLE LINK wire, in bulk and it has XL thickness of insulation. Yes, a person can use cross link wire with a higher voltage power supply for current limiting.
Here is a DC to DC converter with enough cajones to do the job safely up to the point of developing a constant 11 amps at 16 volts for
GC220 equalization (6 cells).
