Everyone thanks for the great suggestions (many of which are completely over my heard :) Apparently I'm ok as my CC DOES do an automatic equalization every 28 days. Thanks VERY much for everyone's input.
As mentioned by time2roll, the proof is in a hydrometer reading. Do that and you will know where you stand. I guess you would need some way of knowing when that equalize charge is going to take place so that enough sun energy is available and the batteries are already charged as was also mentioned.
I'd want a way to do a manual equalize in my chosen time frame. To do that I use a Trimetric and their SC2030 solar controller and also have a Meanwell power supply. I would have to go check the model to see the voltages it can reach. I dont use it now that I have 1000 watts of solar.
You can get a less expensive power supply like a mega watt which can do high voltage but I wouldn't push it to it's limit as I did with my first one. I like having a power supply on hand in my truck because my genny is mounted in the truck and could charge the truck if I had a dead battery or needed to help someone.
If you buy a power supply it's important to get one that goes to a high enough voltage.
