I wonder how many times the provided voltage screw pot can be adjusted.
It is kind of fun to see how much a battery accepts at a dialed voltage.
I might have to get a DC to DC converter just to have the option of 16 volts Via AC power. My 31 needs at least 6 amps after it takes just 1.8 amps to hold 15.3v to push it upto 16v and there is no guarantee my solar will do this in winter time when it needs to be done.
Thanks again MEX, Mena and Ninerbikes for cutting this trail, I am so satisfied with this charging source.
Anybody want to buy a Schumacher sc2500a? No longer made!! Ha Bulky P.O.S!
Hope to have Pot Ohm range reading soon for you all and Macro pics of the internals.
I want to get some quality small ring terminals and not rely on the insert stranded wire, crush under screw and plate connections.
I really like the 3 separate outputs too, but that very temporary 18 awg wire with the Powerpoles already on it certainly did not take kindly to passing 25 amps. Didn't melt and short but it was the hottest I've ever felt a wire.
Mine has a little amber plastic covering that flips down over the terminals, but I'd prefer a little more protection on the 120Vac inputs.
I remember 2 year ago when I was considering paying another hundred bucks for the DC compressor fridge with the AC option, when one of these, or even a significantly less powerful version could have completed the same task for a fraction of that price.
