Hee hee, when I flip up the bun on a Jack In The Box el cheapo I sure don't expect to find ground round. I am guessing the IC is a voltage reference divider component.
2 of three pins on the pot are connected. If the center pin were left connected and the 2nd pin exchanged for the other (unused) pin, the pot would work in reverse. May I assume that counter-clockwise on the screw raises voltage?
Is there a vendor who lists Panasonic electrolytic caps with prices? Looking at these gives me the willies.
I have a whole ----load (Slim Pickens) of 172 ampere MOSFETS waiting for me in Chula Vista. So if the MOSFET takes a hike then that will be covered. I also have some 5 volt micro fans that just may fit this case. Arctic Silver compound.
Yes, this is like slapping on a diamond studded collar on a mutt. Not even poodle grade. But something tells me the internal organs of a MeanWell are not -that- much superior.
I can't even find a circuit board online with acid etch for the same price as this whole unit. I am totally ignorant of the cost of Panasonic capacitors, but if this is the big weak link, the capacitors, then I am going to pursue better ones.
I did not see MOV's. Anyone see MOV's on the 120vac feed line? A bi directional 180 volt TSD (transient suppressor diode) with a couple of MOV's would be helpful.
