I had set the voltage at the terminals to 14.70 volts, and then plugged it in to the battery. i did not touch the new Pot during the test at all.
I measured the CW terminal voltage in the beginning and twice more 5 minutes apart.
............It was 14.31 20 seconds after start up and making 38.09amps
5mins later It was 14.14..........................and making 38.89 amps
5mins later it was 14.24..........................and making 39.74 amps
4 minutes later I noticed amps had risen to 41.24 amps and the buzzing had changed tempo. I was in the process of getting ready to record more measurements when I noticed amps had dropped below 36. and it was still buzzing and the amps were dropping quickly. I reached over grabbed the IR gun turned around and Poof Crackle crackle Psssst fweppp. Flashes Smoke and Flame that quickly extinguished itself. Not really that much smoke or flame. I did not even open the doors, my regular ventilation was enough and I can no longer smell that usual horrid magic blue smoke.
It was kind of neat seeing the flames through the fan hole.
