FULL AMPS ON MEANWELL SP-200-15
Even though I bought this unit to charge a 100ah-160ah bank for tenting, I did the following experiment using my much larger (660ah) TT bank.
--Turned off shore power to entire TT
--Ran 5a AC load (600w) from 660ah battery bank through inverter
--Hooked meanwell to bank and applied 14.8v from 200w unit (400w net loss).
--Plug Power ac meter reported steady 2.5a-2.6a AC draw into meanwell.
--When batt bank V had depleted into 11.8V area (load was exeeding charge by ~400w), I cut the inverter load but left the batts isolated, charging only from the meanwell.
--40 mins later, AC amp draw has edged up to 2.7a, batt bank V continues to climb through 13.9V.
--No sign that the meanwell has any issue with this treatment. Certainly no sign of shutdown or hiccup protection.
