How true that is!
The Interstate VRLA AGM batteries in our RV were manufactured by C&D Technologies and this C&D technical document has been very helpful to me in understanding and maintaining them. Figures 12 and 13 in this .pdf document are the main reason I've never felt it necessary to replace the stock 13.8 volt converter in our motorhome with a multi-stage charger after installing these batteries, as it shows that this type of simple charging of these particular batteries is just fine:
