I can't weld at all anymore. They tell me it will short out my Pacemaker! :M
They told my FIL the same thing. - BradWExplorer II

Well, that is plan B but with 1/8 or 3/32 6011 rods. I guess I will give that a try. I learned to weld with an a/c stick welder. I hear using 2 or 3 car batteries works.........kinda.
Another otion is a Ready Welder, but that's $600 for something that takes up a lot of room in the vehicle and I would very seldom use.

Do welders have wattage?
The smallest stick machine at Harbor Freight (I think its rated at 70 amps output) gives the input as:
115V
20A
I have one of those and to put it mildly, it sucks on 120 volts. I may rewire for 220 and see what it does.
Three 12 volt batteries hooked in series for 36 volts and a set of jumper cables will work in a pinch. When on a long trip I carry some small rods and my self darkening helmet. Also battery cables to hook the batteries together. I've never had to use it in an emergency but I tried it at home with success.
I would never hook a welder to my eu2000i. - mcheroExplorer

My thinking after seeing that battery welder....Take the stick/rod end and connect to the positive lead of your house batteries! LOL :B - MEXICOWANDERERExplorer

Batteries? Jumper cables? Twenty or ninety wraps of fence wire otter do it. - 2oldmanExplorer II
