Agreed. That is a lot of miles. But it shows that in some cases limited charging facilities could be a problem for some. We seem to be around the 16000 km per year between two vehicles. Both are Electric vehicles. More than half our charging is level one in the driveway and the rest is level 2 in the garage. We occasionally fast charge on Road trips and we do use destination charging at restaurants, malls, hotels (overnight).
I haven’t checked lately but the BC hydro website used to indicate that if every personal vehicle was to overnight become electric, the total grid load would increase by 19 percent. Presently the surplus is over 30 percent so not a problem for BC.
