Experience with replacing decals or repainting

Stripping the decals can be time consuming and leave ghosts. Repainting is expensive. Nothing is perfect. If it was mine and I hated the decals, I would strip them off. You could always buy some rattle cans of automotive paint, strip the vinyl, clean and pret the surface, mask and paint new stripes on. Time consuming, but permanent. Good buff and wax the ghosts and they should more or less hide.
