- John_WayneExplorer IILug nut torque on the F53 with 19.5 is only little over 150 LBS. So no problem doing it your self. I think the up date for torque was 150-165 lbs.
- MEXICOWANDERERExplorerI remember 1-1/8" for the actual lug nuts. It took an IMPACT socket, extension, and a 30" long breaker bar to manage the lug nuts on my bus. I had a forked shape rocker lever to deal with the tire and wheel. I was a lot younger. Today if I tried managing those tools I would end up in a body cast lickety-split.
- JoeHExplorer IIIIf you have wheel covers/simulators , you may also need a socket. Some covers have pry off fake nuts holding it on, others have a couple nuts that screw on to the studs. My F-53 had the later. I remember the simulator nut size was 1 1/8 " -- don't remember the lug size though.
- dbatesExplorerIf it weren't so cold today I'd get my sockets set and try them on my 1999 F53 but I think I'll stay in where it's warm today.
Besides that I wouldn't worry about it. If any of my MH lug nuts need to be removed I'd let my road service or mechanic do it. As hard as they are torque down I’d have to get an air impact wrench to get them loose.
