Fantastic Fan Circuit Board MC 103

Hi we got the Fan-Tastic Vent Upgrade Kit To Model 7350 for our 5 wheel ... Yes I think it's wonderful for cough us short people.
Only thing is we are in Florida where in summer you have an electrical storm is practically an everyday occurance. So far we have gone through 3 of the circut boards KIB MC103 which has now changed part numbers to Fan-Tastic Vent Printed Circuit Board 9056-90. There seems to be an issue with these boards not being sheilded, because as I said b4 when we have bad electrical storm even with no power connected to the RV (while we were inside) there was enough static electricity in the air to hear it pop. No it was not actuall struck by lightning. If this had happaned just the once I would of put it down as a fluke but it has happened on multiple occasions. I came across this forum whilst looking for a replacement circut board again.... If we ring Fantastic but they say we have to buy the hole Fan-Tastic Vent Upgrade Kit To Model 7350 again.
Any ways hope this helps somebody else if you have any idea on sheilding the new board or know where to find one please let me know
