Fantastic Fan Circuit Board Repair

When my Fantastic Fan dome is up, the dome motor will randomly run down for a second or two and then run back up. I disconnected the rain sensor, no joy. I assume it is the circuit board. Have any of you electronic wizards repaired those boards? I haven't pulled it out yet, a new one is around $75 and I would rather heat up the solder station and fix it.

    Are the discrete component parts untouched? Some manufacturers love to buff off the ID numbers on transistors, and I.C.s's. Because it is a both-direction control issue I suspect an IC. You need to take a high quality image of both sides of the circuit board then reverse engineer it.

    I did and they will for about $125. Attwood now owns them and they no longer do that.
