Fantastic fan problem

We have a Fantastic fan with thermostat and rain sensor. I went to turn it on the other night and the cover opens when I move the thermostat switch, but the fan doesn't turn on.
Any ideas what could be causing this?

Thanks,

Fred Wishnie

  • The plunger is stainless steel so doesn't rust, however crud builds up around the shaft and needs a shot of lubricant once a year or so to keep it moving properly.

It is a simple make or break switch on the ground side of the circuit.
  • In any case Fantastic Fan has a lifetime guarantee and they stand by it,so if you have a problem they will fix/exchange the unite with no coast.
  • There is a "plunger" switch up top that turns on the fan when the lid opens. It is probably stuck in the down position, or might be loose.
