Another advantage is versatility. I can split the banks or combine the systems on the inverter bank under heavy use.
As for fewer features. I just need to keep the batteries charged day to day for a week or two at a time. I want to believe the three stage charging of the controller where I can control the voltages is better than a few hours a day with the generator running the 55 amp 13.6v convertor.
