That's why I plan for worst case for solar sizing and a larger battery bank. Everything else just falls in place then. For example smkettner no longer drags a generator along.
If I had not gone to semi full time, my system met my needs in spades. But now that I'm in a situation where I needs must be in the RV for weeks at a time, in the summer I need a way to run the roof air while I'm inside tuning for clients because driving to the next stop with the RV at 33 C is just not pleasant.
I did inquire about running the v-10 and running the dash air, which I was told by Ford was safe to do--but when I tested doing that, the "living quarters" still became unbearably hot. Hence I capitulated from my anti generator stance.
