flexible solar panel on the horizon?

flexible + roll-able PV exist already, have for some time actually... as I recall their efficiency doesn't match the solid kind. Goal Zero has a few different rollable products, built to be portable I guess, and I'm sure ebay has them. Not sure if Joe Sixpack can buy the large rolls they make for commercial / industrial installs.

Dunno about others awnings but mine acts like atmospheric moisture condenser; it can have not rained for weeks but when I open it, it is sopping wet and dripping smelly mildew water. Not sure that environment would be good for solar collection.
