x2 My truck camper weighs over 3k and sits on a 4x8 piece of 2 inch foam board with nothing on top. It has held up for many many thousands of miles. I would go with a 1/2 plywood though over the whole floor. I would also probably glue with the proper glue the foam board to the plywood. That would give you one solid floor.
Unless you see yourself removing the floor at times for some reason. Then no glue. Either way I see no problem. JMHO
