Fourwinds Majestic not charging house battery from chassis

Found the solenoid...
based on location it would be a bear to get to for replacement...

can I just wire a battery isolator up and bypass the solenoid all together?

mine is 2004 so probably the same......

My Majestic was sort of doing same thing. Same as you except, very little going into house battery and taking forever to charge. All wires looked good but upon very close look, many were not in that good of shape after removing one by one to inspect. Cleaned up all except 3 of them that I made new and larger in diameter and made difference with mine.

I couldn't find any diagrams I just went wire by wire. All my fuses are under dash or under hood or in house part, except a breaker switch on generator.

Mine is 2003 which means old style charger that takes longer to charge unlike newer "smart" chargers.

It's the Wild-Wild West, when it comes to standarization of RV electrical. And only another owner of your make can tell you off hand exactly where your battery connection switch contacts are located.

As a tip, the self monitoring battery paralleling switches like the Sure Power are the way to go. If you have a 130 amp alternator, choose the 200-amp model paralleling switch. The standard solenoids that I accumulated that didn't go to the scrap yard, were used to throw at barking dogs next door to the shop.

If you want to parallel batteries for engine starting, use a bypass circuit around the Sure Power consisting of a starter solenoid, like a Ford fender mounted unit.
