Fresh water tank dumps itself through overflow pipe, why?

Upon reaching the campground, we filled up the fresh water tank until water came out of the overflow pipe. Moving to the campsite, water continued to come out (we figured too full over uneven ground, ...

Is it possible that you are confusing the drain pipe with the overflow?


The fitting does NOT have to extend into the tank to have a faulty vent system that will siphon water out. Doug
