Just bought this 2004 and fridge was working, decided to take out on a 1st run camp trip fridge not working. It is a Danetic?? and has power ,when switched to gas can hear gas lightup. All fuses good.
Took back to where we bought says I need to replace unit for $1800-.
any thoughts as to just replacing with a cheaper house fridge.

  • Usually pretty easy if you are plugged in all the time. If you are not plugged in you will then need an inverter which runs off your batteries. If you are driving from campground hookups to CG hookups your tow vehicle should carry it. If you want to boondock we are now getting into a much longer conversation along with upgraded charging equipment if running on a generator or how much solar is needed. The basics required for a resi are proper clearances for ventilation. I use this rear coil model with the proper clearance with no problems so far.

  • Dometic? What model? Should be on the inside door area.
