My Dometic will turn the light on if the switches are off and the door is open and there is any kind of power to the trailer (battery or plugged in).
Not sure what fuse I would pull, but that seems a lot more of a PITA than just pulling the bulb??
But, whatever works for you is what you should do.. ;)
