A lot of rvs travel with their refrigerators running on the propane setting.
Doesn't mean you should have it on at fuel stops.
but as far as having it on and its near your gas tank...You don't have a gas tank for your Cummins diesel do you??
I don't have an answer for your thermocouple fuse blowing.
With our 3 way the flame kept blowing out and our 12v wasn't connected to the fridge.
We played with baffles and could not get it to stay lit when traveling So we ran a #6 dedicated wire from the trucks batteries and it cools fine.
Since you don't have a 3 way your only option is getting the gas to work or replacing with 3 way.
Does the fridge work on gas when you are stationary?
